A Northern New Mexico native, Carmen was born in Tierra Amarilla, NM, and earned both her Bachelor's of Psychology and Master's of Science/Counseling Psychology degrees from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM. Carmen is a Board Certified Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, has Matrix Model of Intensive Outpatient Alcohol and Drug Treatment Clinical Training, is a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) as well as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and is currently completing curriculum for LADAC licesure.
Carmen possesses extensive experience in working with/providing services in various clinical settings, including private practice therapy, forensic behavioral inpatient, school-based mental health, and community based services for adolescents and children, DWI and substance abuse prevention.
